Blithe Spirit

Written by Noël Coward Blithe Spirit at Arvada Center

When Charles Condomine, a successful novelist, wishes to learn about the occult for a new book he is writing he arranges for eccentric clairvoyant Madame Arcati to hold a séance at his home. The attempt backfires when the Madame inadvertently conjures up the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first wife, Elvira. Only Charles can see or hear Elvira, and his second wife, Ruth, does not believe the ghost exists. Comedy and mayhem run rampant as the former Mrs. Condomine attempts to disrupt Charles's marriage while scheming ways to have Charles join her in the afterlife.
