Arvada Center Dance Academy

The Arvada Center Dance department has a well-established reputation for its exemplary dance program and is known for its professional dance instructors who teach the love of dance as well as the skills. The Arvada Center has been offering quality dance classes for 36 years and is now entering its third season as a Dance Academy offering excellent training in ballet, jazz, contemporary and modern dance classes for dancers 7 - 19 years of age.

The younger students, levels I & II, experience the joy of dance and music while learning the discipline, technique and respect that is instrinsic to all forms of dance. As the dancers mature and improve they gradually take more classes each week to ensure a positive progression in their training. All Academy students have the opportunity to perform 6 times each spring on the Arvada Center's Main Stage Theater. All of the Dance Academy's costumes are custom made and constructed by a dedicated team of volunteers.

The Academy's performing company,  Arvada Center Dance Theater, also performs a third show each fall on the Main Stage Theater, as well as several community outreach performances and fund raising events for institutions like Children's Hospital. Toddlers, teens adults and seniors are not forgotten at the Arvada Center. We offer a variety of dance classes through our Open Enrollment program. Toddler and pre-school dance classes are offered for ages 3-6 through the Art Start Dance program, children ages 6 and up can take a great Hip Hop dance class on Thursday afternoon and adults can take a ballet, jazz, modern, tap, or Pilates mat class.
