Jefferson Symphony Orchestra

For almost 60 years, the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra has been making music that thousands of people in and around Jefferson County and the wider Denver Metro area, have enjoyed.  In 2011, the orchestra was voted Best Community Orchestra in the Denver Metro area, by Westword magazine.

Queen City Jazz Band

For over fifty years the QCJB has been delighting everyone with the happy sounds of the 20s, 30s and 40s.  We have performed at every major Dixieland/swing jazz festival in North America.  Trumpet, trombone, clarinet, tenor sax, piano, banjo, drums and tuba—each is played by an experienced pro as we bring to life the music of Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton, Scott Joplin, Bix Beiderbecke, Wilbur DeParis, and Turk Murphy.  Our singer, Wende Harston recreates the hit songs of Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey and many other early blues singers.  Wende’s gospel style is truly inspiring.  Our concert performances never fail to delight listeners of all ages and our busy schedule also abounds with weddings, worship and memorial services, educational clinics and concerts, fundraisers and major parties.
