In a recent article in the Denver Post, John Moore writes, “There aren’t just 10 shows to watch in the fall season. Try 20. Heck, make it 30. Any list that doesn’t include “Urinetown” staged in an actual wastewater plant seems incomplete. Or “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s foray into musical theater, “Cannibal! The Musical” (at Backstage, Breckenridge). Or Theatre Group’s “Debbie Does Dallas,” Modern Muse’s new adaptation of “Turn of the Screw,” the Arvada Center’s confectionary “Thoroughly Modern Millie“ and many more. Our list doesn’t even include the Denver Center Theatre Company or the national tours of “The Lion King” and “Sweet Charity,” which will be advanced separately.”
