Arvada Centerâ€™s audience-pleasing shows pay off

Even in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities discovered that audiences will gladly pay $50 a ticket or more for a really good show.
The nonprofit center, which long has enjoyed a reputation for high-quality productions, recently started its 2009-10 theater season with an ambitious production of â€œMiss Saigon.â€ The popular musical comes on the heels of the centerâ€™s most successful season ever.
