Our Popular Summer Camps Are Filling Up Fast!

 

 Dear {{##First Name## || Arvada Center Patron}},

The Arvada Center is offering Summer Camps, June 3 – August 23 for ages 1½ -18. Let your Arvada Center Spring Break Campschild explore their creativity in exciting classes from our most popular teachers and courses in drama, music, dance and visual arts!

We also offer Extended Day and Lunch Bunch sessions for busy, working parents!

Drama

Got a budding actor or comedian in your family? Improv Comedy or On-Camera Acting Camp would be a perfect fit!

For the serious actors – we still have room in 4 Drama Camps that feature full-on productions of:

  • Once on This Island – ages 7-16
  • Shakespeare and The Muses – ages 8-13
  • Macbeth – ages 13-18
  • Footloose, Technical Theater Camp – ages 13-18, our Teen Intensive production. This camp allows theater students to assist with stage management and other technical jobs related to our Teen Intensive production of Footloose.See All Drama Camps at Arvada Center

Each of these drama camps concludes in a late summer production to be performed in our Main Stage theater or Black Box Theater.

Music

Or are you raising a rock star? Rock Band Camp is a wildly popular class that allows kids to record songs, design album covers and work together a real rock-n-roll band!

Visual Arts

Our Visual Arts Camps include opportunities for time travel, cartooning, mythical creatures, See All Visual Arts camps at Arvada Centerpirating, dinosaurs and so much more!

 

Dance

Our Dance Camps let kids explore their kinetic side! Learn some new steps, learn and teach a new routine, or just polish some familiar moves with a world-famous Choreographer!See All Dance Camps at Arvada Center

 

  • Ballet
  • Tap
  • Contemporary Dance (think: “So You Think You Can Dance”) – taught by Ashi Smythe of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, MC Hammer and Janet Jackson!

 Summer Classes Available through August 22nd

The Arvada Center offers over 600 courses a year in the performing arts, dance, music, visual Arvada Center Summer 2013 Education Catalogarts, ceramics, photography and the humanities. We are fully equipped, with eleven studios and classrooms, three dance studios, a ceramics studio and a photography lab.

We have classes for ages 18months to 100+ !

Have shows like “Project Runway” reminded you of that dusty ol’ sewing machine in your closet? Dust it off or use of ours and join others learning the basics of sewing in Introduction to Machine Sewing. In this one-day class, you will make 2 fun projects and get inspired!

Ever wanted to know American Sign Language but had no idea where to start? The Arvada Center offers an introduction to ASL that focuses on basic vocabulary, signs and sentence structure.

Presented by the Arvada Center’s nationally recognized faculty of ceramic artists and advanced students, this 6-day sale is free and open to the public, and just in time for Mother’s Day! Proceeds benefit the Arvada Center Ceramics Studio.
