Within the exhibitioin, each artist's distinct styles and diverse talents illustrate the various aesthetic possibilities of this art form and the vast number of techniques utilized to create these extraordinary works of art. Four major techniques will be represented: blown, cast, fused, and torch-worked glass. The artwork displayed ranges in texture, shape, translucency, color, and most importantly its relationship with light.
Also in the Galleries
The Arvada Center’s fall exhibitions explore the world of art created by fire. Each of the Arvada Center’s three galleries will feature three distinct mediums: iron in the Main Gallery, ceramics in the Upper Gallery, and glass in the Theatre Gallery. Each medium and piece has their own unique results but all require the use of fire and the control of it to help achieve the finished work.
