Front Range Youth Symphony Auditions

ARVADA, CO – The Front Range Youth Symphony Orchestras will hold 2007-2008 season auditions Tuesday, August 21, 2007 and Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. The orchestras are seeking students ages 8-21 who play strings, French horn, bassoon, flute and percussion instruments for their three ensembles. Orchestra placement is based on age, experience and ability. There is a $15 audition fee payable to the Arvada Center. Auditions are by appointment only and can be scheduled by contacting Keith Ewer, the orchestra coordinator, at (720) 898-7238 or
keith-e@arvadacenter.org.

Members of the Front Range Youth Symphony Orchestras attend weekly practices and perform in three major concerts each season. Tuition rates for the orchestras are as follows: Front Range Youth Symphony ($325), Symphonic Strings Orchestra ($225) and Concert Strings Orchestra ($225). Cody Gifford conducts the Front Range Youth Symphony and Danielle Johnson conducts the Symphonic Strings and Concert Strings Orchestras. Students who are members of any FRYS group are also members of their school's instrumental music program.
