Internationally renowned pianist Jeffrey Siegel returns to the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities to present “Lions of Lyricism,” a concert featuring the work of Chopin Grieg and Liszt

The program for “Lions of Lyricism” includes works by Chopin (Polonaise in C minor, Op. 40, No. 2; Waltz in A-flat major, Op. 42 and Nocturne in D-flat major, Op. 27, No. 2), Grieg (Lyric Piece, Wedding Day at Troldhaugen and Slǻtter, Op. 72, No. 6) and Liszt (Consolation No. 3, Bagatelle Without Tonality and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 10).

Keyboard Conversations is a unique concert format in which Siegel offers insightful commentary to the audience about the music before performing it in its entirety and captivating audiences with the sounds of a Steinway grand piano. Siegel discusses each of the pieces he plays, including enough musicology and anecdotes about the composers that both music novices and seasoned listeners will be entertained. The Arvada Center is proud to have this superb artist returning for a 15th season.

Siegel’s visit to Colorado is only one stop on his concert tour. His Keyboard Conversations Series plays in such cities as New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Cleveland, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Atlanta. Siegel has appeared with every major orchestra in the United States and many abroad and also has made appearances at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
