Music With a View: Love Through the Ages

Love Through the Ages , featuring soprano, Jana Edwards and Pianist, Kevin Kennedy on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower gallery. Love Through the Ages is the third concert in the 2002/2003 Music with a View series.

Edwards and Kennedy will present a program of enduring love songs from great composers such as Edward Grieg, Benjamin Britten, Norman Dello Joio and others.Edwards has extensive musical experience ranging from opera to musicals and oratorio to concert appearances. She has performed as the Queen of the Nights in Opera Colorado’s The Magic Flute , and has sung under the direction of Marin Alsop in the Colorado Symphony Orchestra’s production of the Bernstein Mass. Recent concert appearances include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with both the Littleton Symphony and the Jefferson Symphony orchestras, the Verdi Requiem with the Littleton Symphony and a holiday concert with the Billings Symphony Orchestra in Billings, Mont.

Music with a View is a chamber music series of one-hour concerts in the intimate setting of the Arvada Center galleries. The relaxing atmosphere and fine art of the galleries lend a unique quality to the music, enhancing the total concert experience for both the music novice and the seasoned listener.Patrons attending Love Through the Ages will enjoy wonderful music the while sitting amongst the Arvada Center’s exhibition, Sights of Music , which demonstrates the visual beauty of finely crafted musical instruments ranging from strings to percussion.
