The Arvada Center Announces Auditions for Moonlight and Magnolias

ARVADA, CO - The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will hold auditions for Moonlight and Magnolias on Monday, June 11, 2007 and Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Arvada Center. This production will be directed by Bev Newcomb-Madden.

Equity auditions will be held on June 11 from 11:00 a.m. - Noon. Open auditions will be held on June11 from Noon - 4:00 p.m. and June 12 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling (720) 898-7200.

Experienced performers with strong acting abilities are needed. Roles are available for one woman, approximately 30 to 50 years old, and three men, approximately 30 to 55 years old with good physical comedy skills. This is an equity production, although non-equity actors may audition. Actors should prepare a one-minute comedic monologue appropriate to the period and style of this particular show-- 1930's, 1940's, not contemporary. A headshot and a resume are required. No scripts are available through the theater.

Rehearsals for Moonlight and Magnolias begin on August 25, 2007. The show opens September 11, 2007 and runs through October 7, 2007, Tuesday through Saturday evenings with matinees on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for a total of eight shows per week.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is one of the metro area's largest cultural attractions, devoted to all aspects of the arts. It is generously supported by the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and located two and a half miles north of Interstate 70 on Wadsworth Blvd.
