Dance Classes at the Center

Dance Education at the Center

The Arvada Center Dance department has a well-established reputation for its exemplary dance program and is known for its professional dance instructors who teach the love of dance as well as the skills. Every dancer is supported and invited to explore through creativity, artistry, movement and instruction.

The Arvada Center has been offering quality dance classes for over 40 years. Our exemplary Dance Academy offers excellent training in ballet, jazz, modern and tap dance classes for dancers 6 - 19 years of age.

Spring classes and summer camps are on sale now! Our summer class session goes on sale Friday, May 2 at 11:00 am.

    Our Programs

Seven teenage dancers in colorful leotards pose in a dance studio. They are lined up along a mirror.

    Arvada Center Dance Academy

Students experience the joy of dance and music while learning discipline, technique and respect that is intrinsic to all forms of dance. As the dancers mature and improve they gradually take more classes each week to ensure a positive progression in their training. All Academy students have the opportunity to perform 6 times each spring.

Teenage dance students peform onstage in a modern dance, wearing blue dresses.

    Arvada Center Dance Theatre

The Academy's performing company, Arvada Center Dance Theatre, performs a third show each fall on the Main Stage Theatre, as well as several community outreach performances.

Three young students jump around a dance class, while their instructor looks on.

    Dance Classes for Pre-K Kids

Enrolling your child in a dance class introduces them to the joys of dance and music. The Art Start Dance program offers classes for ages 3-6 in ballet, jazz, tap, creative movement and more.

Each class is filled with imaginative expression, and teaches kids balance, rhythm, dexterity, shapes - and fun!

    General Classes for Adults

We offer a variety of dance classes for teens, adults, and seniors at a variety of experience levels. Brush up on your technique, or learn a new dance skill!

Adult classes include ballet, jazz, tap, Pilates or a conditioning class - as well as special class sessions.
