The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will hold auditions for Charlotte’s Web on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Callbacks will be held Friday, September 30, 2022.
Charlotte’s Web will be directed by David and Julie Payne and produced by Lisa Hoffman and Julie Payne.
Auditions are by appointment only. Actors who cannot access the website should call 720-898-7200 to schedule an audition time. Actors must be 18 years & older to audition. Please do not contact the production staff to schedule an appointment.

Needed are experienced actors with strong character skills. The actors will portray various characters. Roles are non-equity, paid positions - $625/week. Actors must be 18 years of age or older to audition for any character.

Rehearsals for Charlotte’s Web will begin on Monday, January 9, 2023, rehearsing weekdays from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The production opens on Tuesday, January 24, running through March 3, 2023.
Performances are Monday through Friday at 10:00 am and noon, and various Saturdays at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Actors must be 18 years of age or older to audition for any character.
A girl who loves her pig, Wilbur. Imaginative, playful, and curious.
Youthful appearance, able to play a young girl.
Must convincingly play a naïve, wide-eyed young pig who longs for friendship from all. Adventurous. Loyal. Loving.
A gentle, wise barn spider. Clever. Loyal. Loving.
A self-centered barn rat, Templeton is very possessive. He learns how to be a friend.
Down to earth farmer. Simple and unassuming.
Age: 30 to 60
A farm hand who is easily left in awe of the excitement on the farm and Charlotte’s webs.
Age: 20 to 30
Fern’s father. A kind, loving father who loves his daughter.
Age: 30 to 40
Fern’s pesky slightly older brother.
Youthful appearance, able to play a young boy.
All actors will portray additional characters and may be asked to understudy other roles.
