We can't wait to see you for an upcoming performance at the Arvada Center! All attendees to our indoor seated performances - anything taking place inside a theatre - must present proof of full vaccination status or a negative COVID test. Here's some need-to-know information about how to show your vaccine verification, get tested, and when to arrive for your performance.
Ensuring the safety of our visitors, staff, artists and volunteers while providing the arts experiences we all love is our top priority. With your cooperation, we can remain open and safe.
Patrons attending any indoor seated performance in our Main Stage Theatre or Black Box Theatre after September 28 are required to show proof of vaccination before entering the performance space. This includes:
In order to provide proof of vaccination, patrons must have identification and present one of the following at entry to the theatre:
1. A physical copy of your vaccination card - with the date and location you were vaccinated.
2. A verified app such as myColorado or GetVaxxed that shows the patron’s name, date of vaccination, and location of vaccination.
3. A photo on a mobile device of the front and back of the patron’s vaccination card. The photo must be clear and the information on the card must be legible.
Patrons are considered fully vaccinated at least 14 days after their final dose of a Pfizer, Moderna, or the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
Please bring a printed result or proof of a negative COVID test on a mobile device. The negative test result must meet the following criteria:
1. We're accepting PCR or antigen (rapid) test results
2. Tests must be taken within 72 hours for PCR, or 6 hours for antigen tests
3. The record must have a name that matches your ID. Children do not need an ID.
4. The test results must have a date and time stamp on them.
Please note that we're not accepting rapid take-home test kits that provide results without any kind of date or time stamp. Your test results must have the date and time you took the test.
The check-in process for vaccine or negative test verification will begin one hour before the performance starts: In general, this is 6:30 pm for evening performances, noon for Wednesday matinees and 1:00 pm for weekend matinees.
The check-in station is set up in the theatre bridge on the second floor - before you reach the Main Stage Theatre.
Please arrive as early as you can to be sure you don't miss your performance! After you show your verification, you can enjoy our art galleries, or purchase a snack and a drink from our concessions.
To find a vaccination site near you, click here. The COVID-19 vaccine is free. To qualify as “fully vaccinated,” an individual must have completed their full course of COVID-19 shot(s) 14 days prior to an event. See you at the theatre!
Testing for COVID-19 is available at a number of pharmacies and testing locations around Denver. Here are some options - we recommend scheduling a test in advance.
You will not be admitted to the performance without your vaccine information or a negative COVID test that meets our requirements - so make sure you have that information with you when you arrive! If you miss a performance, you can contact our Box Office to discuss your options.
The COVID-19 vaccines have shown to be the most effective protection against the spread of the virus. By having patrons show proof of vaccination, we are doing our part to remain safe, open, and able to deliver our mission of providing engaging arts, humanities, education, and entertainment.
If you would prefer to miss your performance, you can contact the Arvada Center Box Office to discuss your options which include donating your tickets, transferring your purchase to a gift certificate for future use, or receiving a refund.

In order to adapt to changing health policies and keep our patrons, staff and performers safe, the Arvada Center will allow children ages 5 to 11 who show proof of at least an initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to enter our indoor seated performances. All patrons - including children 2 and older - are required to wear a mask inside the theatre. This update in our safety policies takes place November 8.
Children in this age range who are not vaccinated will need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to attend.
According to the FDA, the Pfizer vaccine has shown protection in children ages 5 to 11 similar to that seen in individuals 16 through 25 years of age.
At this time, children may enter an indoor seated performance at the Arvada Center with proof of the first dose only. Following the initial shot, children between the ages of 5 and 11 will then need to receive a second dose to complete the process of full vaccination.
The COVID-19 vaccines have shown to be the most effective protection against the spread of the virus. By having patrons show proof of vaccination, we are doing our part to remain safe, open, and able to deliver our mission of providing engaging arts, humanities, education, and entertainment.
All patrons, including children who have not or cannot yet be vaccinated, can alternatively provide a negative test for entry.
