Bravo for The Arvada Center for bringing together an outstanding cast pulling out all the stops for The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.
On a splendiferous set designed by Kent Homchick, characters wearing eye-popping costumes in strategic places, making no apologies, Director Rob A. Lansbury with choreographer Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck wraps Whorehouse with the brightest, bawdiest, colorful cast package ever to grace the Arvada stage. The result is a mouth-dropping gigantic success.

“It’s the best cast since the ‘Full Monty,'” said musical director David Nehls…Most people who read the musical’s title will probably think back to the 1982 movie of the same name that starred country singer Dolly Parton and ever-mustachioed Burt Reynolds.
Things will be a bit different for the Arvada Center production. Rod Lansberry, the musical’s director, said fans of the movie will notice a different production on his stage.
“There are many more dance numbers in the show than in the movie,” he said. Although the musical is definitely not “G” rated, potential audience members shouldn’t let the title confuse them, Lansberry said.
If you gotta do “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” and believe me, no one is saying you do, might as well make it the best little “Whorehouse” you can. The Arvada Center does that. -John Moore, The Denver Post
