Blithe Spirit is a classic Noël Coward comedy set in a British country house in the 1930’s. This spirited story opens as novelist Charles Condomine invites eccentric clairvoyant Madame Arcati to hold a séance at the home as research for his latest book. The attempt backfires when the Madame inadvertently conjures up the ghost of his temperamental first wife, Elvira, who immediately takes issue with Charles’ second wife Ruth. Comedy and mayhem run rampant throughout this spirited farce as Elvira attempts to disrupt Charles’ marriage while scheming ways to have him join her in the afterlife.

Thank You For Supporting Arvada Center on Colorado Gives Day

Thanks to 125 generous donors, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities celebrated a successful Colorado Gives Day, raising nearly $12,000.

For the first time, the Arvada Center partnered with the Arvada Beer Company to offer Colorado Gives Day donors a sampling of their fresh handcrafted ales.  By raising a glass in support of the Arvada Center’s theater and arts education programs, donations were doubled from the previous year.

We are grateful for the generous support that we received throughout this special day!  Every dollar donated will help us reach more than 70,000 school children and will keep the arts accessible, alive and thriving in our community.

Today’s the Day to Give A Little & Get A Lot

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, December 4, 2012 to participate in the third annual Colorado Gives Day and support the award-winning Arvada Center!

Colorado Gives Day is December 4, 2012

The Community First Foundation, an Arvada-based foundation dedicated to increasing community generosity and involvement, will be hosting the third annual Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.  Through, this 24 hour initiative is designed to encourage Coloradans to give online and help raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in a single day.

To help increase the total amounts distributed to charities, FirstBank – Colorado’s largest locally owned bank – is again underwriting all processing fees and offering prizes and incentives.  Last year, Coloradans made an astounding demonstration of support for local nonprofits by donating $12.4 million on Colorado Gives Day.

With only 50% of revenue coming from tuition and ticket sales, your contribution to the Arvada Center provides essential financial resources for our programs that serve nearly 350,000 visitors each year.
