What’s In Store for 2013 at The Arvada Center

2013 has almost 2,013 new things launching here at the Arvada Center! Well, not quite 2,013, but we do have TONS of new things coming on line this year!

Every department here at the Arvada Center is looking forward to launching new titles, new initiatives and new improvements to our facility and programs!

Here’s a glimpse into some of the new developments here at The Arvada Center…

  • New Main Gallery floor re-finished Jan 8, 2013
  • We will be launching a new website along with better ticketing/seating and education class system improvements
  • Sidewalks are currently being replaced and repaired all around the Arvada Center
  • Energy efficiency upgrades and additional lighting for safety and security will be made to the exterior lighting and will include the parking lots, building and sidewalks around the Center
  • We will soon be upgrading and adding improvements and new equipment to our security system
  • Galleries will be implementing new and improved digital interactive technology for experiencing the gallery exhibitions with your smartphone and/or tablet
  • Summer 2013 – we will bring new Summer Ceramics Visiting Artists Workshops
  • Summer 2013 – we are announcing new Summer Camps including:

    • Story Inspired Creations (visual art camp)
    • Arts and Discovery (science and art camp)
    • Passport to Seuss-ville (drama camp)
    • Character Journeys (drama camp)
  • This February, we launch our new Children’s Theater title,  No Dogs Allowed
  • The Summer 2013 Drama Camp Teen Intensive title is Footloose
  • Inaugural musical performance for the Arvada Center Theater Academy – title is to be announced
  • Front Range Youth Symphony is commissioning a new piece to be premiered at Arvada Center
  • We are launching a teacher professional development program about Arts-Infused Instruction in cooperation with Think360 Arts Complete Education. This is open to all elementary school teachers.
  • We are also developing Extended Outreach classes for Before & After School enrichment programs
  • Development department is launching a VIP Program – The Marquee Club -  that offers donors
    exclusive access to several new “behind the scenes” events, networking opportunities and unique art experiences.

  1. When will summer concert series be released in 2013?

      Hi Maryanne,

      Thanks for the question. Since we partner with Nobody In Particular Presents for our summer concert series, we have to rely on their release dates for shows.

      We generally try to have it all in place by April or May every year. Stay tuned to the website and our social media channels for more announcements.

    My kids had a great time at art camp last summer. When will the summer catalog be released? The planning for summer starts early. thanks –

      Thank you for your post. Summer classes and camps registration will be available on March 1, 2013! Thanks and we’ll see you and your kids soon!

    Do you have a schedule for spring voice classes?

      Hi Jamie

      Thanks for the question! All Spring 2013 classes will be available online and “in print” ((in our distributed catalog)) by March 4th. Classes go on sale online on March 4th and catalogs will hit mail boxes and be available by then as well.
