Set against the rich backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Bright Star weaves an emotional tale of love, loss, and understanding told through the timeless sounds of bluegrass music. Steve Martin and Edie Brickell wrote the beautiful music, book, and lyrics that provide a perfect vehicle for this compelling dramatic story.

Merideth Kaye Clark
Arvada Center debut. Elphaba standby in Wicked (First National Tour), Eva Perón in Evita (Northern Stage), Nancy in Oliver! (5th Avenue Theatre), Cathy in The Last Five Years (Portland Center Stage). Merideth is a writer, multi-instrumentalist and concert artist and has co-created the acclaimed concerts Winter Song (Portland Center Stage), J oni Mitchell’s BLUE and Happy Days are Here Again! that are now touring internationally. TV credits include “Portlandia” and “ Documentary Now!” Original Cast Album: Co-op .

Elliot was last seen in the Arvada Center's productions of Elf, the Musical , Mamma Mia! , and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas . International credits: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (u/s Lumiere), Marcia Milgrom Dodge’s production of The Music Man (Royal Opera House Muscat) and CATS (Skimbleshanks) with Royal Caribbean. Other credits: National tour of Elf, the Musical , 1776 (Arrow Rock Lyceum), Camelot (Glimmerglass Festival), 42nd Street (Wick Theatre), Verdi’s Aida (Toledo Opera & Opera Carolina). Born and raised on the island of O’ahu, Leiney is making her Arvada Center main stage debut. Regional credits include: West Side Story (Music Theatre West); The Little Mermaid, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Wizard of Oz (Tuacahn Center for the Arts); A Chorus Line (Act II Entertainment); Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Sundance Theatre); Annie Get Your Gun, Footloose, and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Jackson Hole Playhouse). BFA in Dance from the University of Utah.
Mark has performed at the Arvada Center in 41 productions including Of Mice And Men , Prelude To A Kiss , The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas , La Cage Aux Folles , Defiance , Dividing The Estate , She Loves Me and Ragtime . Other credits; A Midsummer Night’s Dream , John Brown’s Body , Comedy Of Errors , Arcadia , Servant Of Two Masters , Winter’s Tale , A Flea In Her Ear , others (DCPA Theatre Company). Michelle returns to the Arvada Center stage. She has performed in Denver theatre for the past 23 years. Arvada Center shows: Les Misérables , Nine , Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , West Side Story , On The Town . Other roles: Doralee (Dolly) in 9 to 5 , Kathy Seldon in Singing in The Rain , Penny in Hairspray , Tiger Lily in Peter Pan (Candlelight Dinner Playhouse). Michelle has a BA in Musical Theatre from UNC. She’s a fitness instructor and teaches 15 classes a week.

Arvada Center: Eight productions including Betty in White Christmas , Georgia in Curtains , Doris in Miracle On 34 th Street , and Anne in 1940’s Radio Hour . Other credits include Kira in Xanadu, First Date, Debbie in The Doyle and Debbie Show, and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (DCPA Theatre Company); Eva in Evita (Lone Tree Arts Center); Sarah in Company, Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde (Aurora Fox Arts Center). Lauren has appeared in productions Off-Broadway and in regional theatres across the country. Training: NYU, Tisch.
Rebecca has performed as Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical with the Arvada Center Children’s Theatre. Other Credits: Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, The Cabaret Girl, Desert Song (Ohio Light Opera); My Fair Lady (Natchez Music Festival); Wizard of Oz , State Fair , Cinderella (Tacoma Musical Playhouse). Opera: Das Rheingold , The Merry Widow, Die Fledermaus (Liederkranz Opera Theatre); Falstaff (Natchez Music Festival); Carmen (Lyric Opera Northwest); Cosi fan Tutte , Cunning Little Vixen (Aspen Opera Theater Center). Training: MM, Manhattan School of Music.
Seles has been involved in six other productions at The Arvada Center, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Chorus Line, Junie B. Jones, White Christmas, Saturday Night Fever, and Memphis . Local credits include: Millie Dillmount in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Ariel in Footloose (BDT Stage); Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Catch Me If You Can , Big Fish (Aurora Fox Arts Center).
