Teen Intensive FAQ’s

Here are some frequently asked questions about our Summer 2020 Teen Intensive!

What are the new dates for this summer's Teen Intensive production?

Rehearsals will be July 6-July 24, 9:00 am-4:30 pm, with one half-hour lunch break (bring your own lunch and please remember that there will be no access to refrigeration).

Tech Rehearsals will be July 27-July 30, 1:00-8:30 pm, with one half-hour dinner break (bring your own dinner). Times are subject to change, so we ask for flexibility during tech rehearsals.

Performances are likely going to be July 31 & August 1 at 7:30 pm. These dates are not confirmed as we are still waiting on more information about restrictions.

What will performances look like?

We are planning on having 2 performances but might add performances if there are still limits on audience size. We are hoping to be able to rehearse and perform in the outdoor amphitheatre, as it seats more people while maintaining proper social distancing. If restrictions are lifted, we will be doing 2 performances on July 31 and August 1. These dates are subject to change, we will inform students when dates are finalized.

Is it possible that the Teen Intensive Camp can be cancelled?

Unfortunately yes, if there is not a way to run this camp while adhering to the proper safety measures, the camp will be cancelled. If there is a new shelter in place order that is announced, it could also force us to cancel the camp.

What if no performances can be held, will the show be filmed?

Unfortunately the show cannot be filmed due to the copyrighted material.

When will packets be available for pick up?

Packets will be available on June 15th at the Box Office. If you are unable to pick it up from the Arvada Center, please contact our Stage Manager Cal Meakins at acteenintensive@gmail.com to make arrangements.

What safety measures will be in place during the camp?

We will be taking all the precautions necessary to ensure we are safely able to run this camp. Social distancing of at least 6 feet will be in place at all times, including lunch breaks. Masks will be worn at all times, except for lunch breaks. We ask each student to bring multiple masks as they may need to change them throughout the day.

Can we go off-campus for lunch?

Due to current restrictions, students will not be allowed to leave the Center for lunch. Each student must bring a packed lunch with them every day to eat on-campus.
