Putting it in Context
The stories of the 2019 Black Box Repertory Season traverse the spectrum of the human experience. Deepen your appreciation for and understanding of these stories by learning more about the historical events which surrounded them, reading about the people portrayed on stage and the writers who brought the characters to life, and get more context from the directors who helped make each production happen.
Arvada Center Artistic Director of Plays | Sin Street Social Club - Director
Lynne recently directed Educating Rita . She directed last season’s Sense and Sensibility (Henry Award winner for Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Director of a Play and Outstanding Production of a Play) and All My Sons . Lynne directed for six seasons at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, including Much Ado About Nothing , Romeo and Juliet , and Noises Off (True West Award Winner, Best Comedy). She was an Affiliate Artist and resident director with the Foothill Theatre Company in California from 1990 to 2009. She studied at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, HB Studio in New York and with Stella Adler. She holds an M.A. from San Francisco State University.

Zachary is returning for his 2nd season at the Arvada Center Black Box, appearing last year in Sense and Sensibility and All My Sons . Regional credits include Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Centerstage, Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Romeo & Juliet , The Three Musketeers , and A Christmas Carol (DCPA Theatre Company). Recent local work includes Paper Cut (Local Theatre Co.), Pride and Prejudice (BETC), Metamorphoses (Aurora Fox Arts Center), Much Ado About Nothing , Comedy of Errors , and The Three Musketeers (Colorado Shakespeare Festival). Zachary is also an international award-winning filmmaker and photographer.

Annie is making her Arvada Center and Colorado debut this season. Recent credits include u/s Juliet in Romeo and Juliet , King John (Great River Shakespeare Festival / Apprentice Company), Amelia Earhart in The Accident of Sex (Kismet Creative Center), and Claire in The Verge by Susan Glaspell (The Larks). She holds a BFA in acting from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.

Emily has appeared on Colorado stages for nearly 20 years, eight of those as a member of Denver's critically acclaimed Paragon Theatre. Credits include The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide and Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Curious Theatre Company); Outside Mullingar (Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company); and The Beauty Queen of Leenane (The Edge Theater Company).
